My Name is Phil Hinson Pastor of Sandy Ridge Independent Baptist Church.  I am married to my beautiful wife Samantha since May 1999. Together we have a wonderful daughter Anna who is 4 years old.

My Testimony is that I was saved by God's Marellous Grace at the age of 22 in October 1998 after a long couple of years of conviction.  I surrendered the call to preach in 2001 as I was serving in my local church(Hopewell Independent Baptist, Hamlet, NC).  Prior to becoming a Pastor I was committed to being a youth pastor, prison ministry, nursing home ministry and preaching in area churches.

In October 2010 God was calling my hand to pastor the flock at Sandy Ridge, I surrendered in December and started my dutys in January 2011.  I am currently amazed at how great things God has already done at our little church.

Since I have became pastor my desire has been to get our church involved in Missions. We immediatly took on one missionary in June 2011.  In February 2012 we were able to take on 5 more missionarys.  

I serve a Big God and I have Big goals for our ministry.
